The Caol Ila Distillery is a whisky powerhouse, producing the largest amount of single malt on Islay. This fine Islay malt, displaying youth and vibrancy, is a peat-lover’s dream. We have balanced this boisterous spirit with freshly emptied barrels, previously maturing a creamy grain whiskey, from Koval Distillery. With a higher wood to spirit ratio, these 110-litre casks mature spirit far quicker than if it were in a standard American barrel or a Sherry butt. After nearly three additional years in the Koval casks, our Whisky Creations Team have nurtured this delicious Islay malt with high expectations – the results are epic!
