Two single malt whiskies from legendary Islay distilleries – Bowmore and Laphroaig – were left to marry in a Sherry butt for over three decades. With 10% Laphroaig, the resulting whisky gives a gentle nod to robust Islay peat but leads with the flavours of Bowmore that was produced in this distillery’s much-celebrated golden era. Being one of the most treasured whiskies within our whisky arsenal, each release is eagerly awaited. This year, we have further matured this venerable spirit in a Tawny Port cask from Caves de Murça, our partners in the Douro Valley, Portugal, which bestowed an extra layer of sublime elegance – a true testament to the Art of Maturation.
